Share

During the opening of POLAGRA 2025, Special Awards were presented to companies distinguished by key achievements in the agri-food sector. The awards recognized enterprises for their role in revolutionizing gastronomy, achieving record-breaking exports of Polish food, ensuring responsibility in strengthening food security, and consistently building the “Meat from Poland” brand both domestically and internationally.

The POLAGRA Special Awards not only honor current achievements but also send a clear message to the entire food industry: strategic investments in exports, gastronomic innovations, market stability, and national brands are essential for the sector’s development.

Such distinctions play a motivational role — showing that companies taking thoughtful, long-term steps (and not focusing solely on short-term profits) can count on public recognition and industry attention.

FOR RECORD-BREAKING ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE EXPORT OF POLISH FOOD

Lidl Polska was honored for its impressive results in promoting Polish products abroad. The export value of Polish products under Lidl’s private labels exceeded 6.8 million, expanding the presence of Polish food across numerous foreign markets.

FOR A REVOLUTION ON THE POLISH GASTRONOMIC MARKET

Żabka Polska was recognized for its innovative approach to the convenience gastronomy segment – integrating convenience stores with a foodservice offer, introducing digital and automation solutions, and expanding its franchise network. The company plays a key role in transforming retail trade toward fast, accessible gastronomic points located close to consumers.

FOR RESPONSIBILITY IN STRENGTHENING POLAND’S FOOD SECURITY

Krajowa Grupa Spożywcza was honored for strategic actions stabilizing the market, particularly in ensuring the availability of key products, counteracting price fluctuations, and cooperating with public institutions. This award highlights the role of food sector companies in safeguarding the country’s food security.

FOR CONSISTENTLY BUILDING THE “MEAT FROM POLAND” BRAND AT HOME AND ABROAD

The award went to Związek Polskie Mięso, Krajowa Grupa Drobiarstwa, Stowarzyszenie Rzeźników i Wędliniarzy RP, and UPEMI. The distinction emphasizes their consistent marketing, educational, and promotional activities, which collectively strengthen the image of Polish meat as a high-quality product.

Congratulations to all laureates — may these awards serve as inspiration for other companies in the agri-food sector to undertake initiatives with a lasting impact on market development, Poland’s international image, and national food security.
