Food Security at the Heart of the Debate at POLAGRA

The discussion focused on the challenges that are having an increasingly significant impact on the entire food supply chain – from geopolitical conflicts and security of supply, through the availability of raw materials and energy, to climate change, cost pressures and the need to safeguard the country’s strategic reserves. Another important topic was the need to diversify supply sources and strengthen domestic production capacity as key elements in increasing the sector’s resilience.

The debate brought together representatives of public administration, institutions responsible for national security, and the business community, including:

and Dorota Bocheńska – Chief Inspector of Agricultural and Food Quality.

The debate highlighted that food security today is about much more than food production alone. It is an interconnected system encompassing agriculture, food processing, trade, logistics, strategic reserves, access to energy, and cooperation between public administration and business. Strengthening the resilience of this system is becoming one of the key challenges for both the state and the entire food industry.
